The Information and Public
Relations Department helps to obtain entry visas for the visiting trade delegations, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Royal Oman Police.
The Chamber’s foreign offices in Taipei and Johannesburg,
also issue these visas directly to facilitate the visits of business people from Taiwan and South Africa to Oman.
As part of the Government’s efforts to boost the tourism sector and to facilitate entry formalities, the Royal Oman Police has recently introduced some procedures whereby the entry of tourists and business people to Oman
will become easier and quicker. The fees of various types of entry visas
have also been brought down considerably.

Within the continuous efforts being exerted to develop the tourist industry and further facilitate entry procedure to the Sultanate with the aim of stimulating this sector, ROP recently developed and adopted some procedures capable of facilitating entry of tourists and businessmen to the country and reconsidered the fees involved as follows:
