Prerogatives of the Training and Omanisation Committee

• To propose ways for implementing the Omanisation and training policies and goals and to link them with the goals and requirements of the national economy as set out in the country's development plans. 
• To propose policies and programmes for developing Omanisation and training systems to serve the development needs and to lay down views on developing the private sector to enable it to provide more efficient services.
• To propose means for raising  professional and career skills of employed nationals. 
• To act to help the training institutions in establishing close ties between them and the private sector. 
• To discuss proposals submitted by the training institutions on their need for investments to support the Omanisation move and to propose appropriate solutions for them. 
• To discuss with the private sector on granting incentives for attracting the Omani youth to work in the private sector. 
• To study the legislation and rules that regulate the Omanisation and training systems and to propose amendments in this regard. 
• To study the possibility of training the handicapped in order to benefit from their potential and to assimilate them into the job market. 
• To assist the various training institutions to provide guidance and direction for professional and general behaviour and to propose problem-solving recommendations. 
• To create professional interest and spread training awareness among the Omani nationals. 
• To study the means for helping the private sector to achieve their Omanisation and training targets.
