Prerogatives of the Tourism Committee

To boost output and meet the challenges faced by the tourism industry.
To develop and enhance the potentials of the tourism market.
To develop and diversify the tourism infrastructure such as hotels, tourist villages, resorts, beaches, etc. with the view to making them affordable by the larger sections of the public.
To encourage and promote establishment of institutes to train the nationals on tourism related jobs.
To address and find solutions for the problems faced by the tourism sector so as to ensure its growth and to minimize difficulties and obstacles.
To activate and organize and adopt tourism fairs to boost tourism and national revenue.
To prepare tourism programmes and plans to attract more tourists in coordination with advertisement campaigns through the media.
