To furnish data and statistics on local production and to prepare feasible studies based on these figures in order to identify the gap between production and surplus in the seasons.
To promote setting up of foodstuff industries to utilize the surplus agricultural products.
To find a mechanism to ensure that the foodstuff are subject to standard specifications and that frozen materials are not re-frozen once they are thawed.
To study developments in the foodstuff prices, locally and abroad, and matters related to the local market and imports of foodstuff.
To study draft laws and rules having relation to foodstuff.
