Prerogatives of the Banking and Investment Committee

To have a link and coordination among the banks, to unify their views and to speak on their behalf before the official entities locally and abroad.
To discuss and try to solve all problems faced by the banking sector referred to the committee by the members or the official entities.
To act in accordance to better the functioning of banking services.
To hold training for the national cadre in the banking field.
To express and exchange views and consultation on the banking laws.
To monitor the investment climate and study Oman's investment priorities.
To identify the obstacles hindering investments in Oman and to try to solve them.
To propose policies aimed at promoting private investment.
To propose investment and business opportunities in coordination with consultants in order to study and analyse them.
To find ways to promote and market local projects and to attract foreign investment.
To propose modern methods to exchange information between the public and private sectors.
To urge banks and private financing institutions to finance investment projects in the country.
To provide the investors with information about local, regional and international financiers.
