Prerogatives of the Arbitration Committee

To provide suggestions and viewpoints for settling commercial disputes referred to it.
To decide as an arbitration body ruling, on all disputes arising among the chamber members, both individuals as well as corporate bodies themselves, or between them and other parties.
To nominate experts and representatives as per the request of the concerned Court of Justice or the GCC Commercial Arbitration Centre, as members in the bodies, centres or committees set up by the Federation of GCC Chambers.
To express views on the generally accepted norms in matters related to commercial issues referred to the committee.
To study the draft laws and express views and proposals on their provisions and clauses, in necessary.
To submit proposals on arbitration and reconciliation processes.
To participate in meetings, seminars and conferences held both inside and outside Oman for the purpose of discussing legal matters.
To implement jobs and duties entrusted by the Chamber's Board of Directors
To submit reports, minutes and recommendations of the Committee's meetings to the Board of Directors.
