 OCCI
has a well-stocked library containing valuable and
essential economic and business information covering a
very wide spectrum. There are several periodicals,
newspapers, books and bulletins, besides hundreds of trade
and industrial directories and catalogues of international
companies, training institutes and universities. The
library's acquisition also includes Internet services and
several video-cassettes on economic and tourist
information on Oman, and investment and industrial
information on some foreign countries.
The library has a wide
variety of resources on topics such as Trade and
Industrial directories, books on economy, finance,
statistics, trade, industry, accounting, business
management and agriculture, economic periodicals and
bulletins, references of the local and international
economic establishments. The library uses the
International Dewey Decimal classification system and the
Anglo-American indexing system. It has an electronic
search system based on the title of the book, name of the
author, the topic or the name of the publisher. Lending
the books is limited to the Chamber staff. However,
photocopies of the material can be made at very nominal
charges.

Sections of the
Library
 Books and references: This section contains
encyclopedias, dictionaries and lexicons, books in English and Arabic on various branches of economy, besides some books on general knowledge.
Directories and Catalogues: This section contains trade, industrial and agricultural directories of various countries of the world, classified according to the continents and their countries.
Periodicals, bulletins and newspapers:
This section has the peri odicals and bulletins published in Oman and
those issued by various chambers of commerce and industry, and other
periodicals classified according to their areas of specialization. There are also several scientific periodicals on economic topics in addition to several daily newspapers.
 Documents: This section contains documents related to conferences, seminars, reports and publications of some local and international chambers and business organizations.
Internet, 
CDs and Video Cassettes: Internet facility is available in this section at a nominal charge. There are a number of CD-ROMs and videocassettes related to business information.
