OCCI has adopted a proactive and partnership approach with the government on various national and international issues concerning Oman's economy. The body closely interacts on policy issues at both the vision as well as implementation levels. The body promotes extensive mutual dialogue and interaction with members and all sections of the community, and in the process builds a commonality on issues that concern the business community as a whole.
Information
Centre:
The Information Centre provides information, date and statistics related
to Omani companies, foreign trade including export and import statistics, laws and regulations and internet facilities, to businessmen and
replies to their queries. OCCI has a well-stocked library containing valuable and essential economic and business information covering a very wide spectrum. There are several periodicals, newspapers, books and bulletins, besides hundreds of trade and industrial directories and catalogues of international companies, training institutes and universities. The library's acquisition also includes internet and several video-cassettes on economic and tourist information on Oman and investment and industrial information on some foreign countries.
