Economic Consultations

• Providing consultations on contemporary economic situations and policies adopted for implementing the total development plans or corrective programs and activating the economic progress, adopting the view point of the private sector on such programs and policies and defending them so as to serve the interests of the national economy considering the private sector as an integral part of the public sector. 

• Advices and consultations on raising the economic efficiency of projects and stimulating their various activities such as production, import, storage, export, promotion and marketing. 

• Providing views and opinions on national, regional and international economic issues referred to the Chamber for expressing its views on them.

• Providing consultations on the frameworks and opportunities of direct and indirect local and foreign investments available in the country. 

• Enlightening businessmen and prospective investors on the economic advantages and incentives offered in all manufacturing and marketing sectors for local and foreign investors by Oman and the GCC countries, in the event of Oman being chosen as a location for investment projects. 

• Providing feasibility studies and directing investors on how to choose and study investment projects through various phases of the feasibility and technical studies of the projects. 

• Guiding the investors on financing resources available for their projects, such as soft loans and commercial loans and how to obtain them from national or international financing sources, including subsidies and loans granted to finance national exports, foreign trade and intra-Arab trade. 

Training & Omanisation Consultations

1. To identify the training priorities of the public and private sectors by coordinating and consulting with the concerned organisations in these sectors. 

2. To facilitate participation of the OCCI staff in training courses within and outside Oman by coordinating with colleges, institutes and training organisations.
