The Supply Division is capable of sourcing, handling and warehousing a wide range of diverse products on behalf of customers looking for complete and reliable services.
ESD is very active in tenders for Government departments and organisations, mainly the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Electricity and Water, Ministry of Health, Civil Aviation, Royal Oman Police, Royal Guard, Royal Yacht Squadron and Petroleum Development Oman.
The property portfolio under management consists of both commercial, residential and industrial properties. These include a Commercial Center and a large residential estate in Medinat Al Sultan Qaboos and warehouse complex at Wadi Kabir.
Towell Construction & Maintenance Co.,
The company has its own Construction Division - Towell Construction & Maintenance Co. Third party contracts for commercial, residential and industrial assignments comprise part of the business but Property Division still accounts the majority of this rapidly growing company’s construction and maintenance activities.
Oman National Dairy Products (ONDP)
ONDP was established in 1975 as a joint stock company with WJ Towell as majority shareholder. It was Oman’s first manufacturer and distributor of dairy and juice products. ONDP corporate goal was to help supply the nation'’ needs with locally produced food and diminish reliance on imports.
Today, ONDP's "Zain" brand long-life milk, juice, ice-cream, yogurt and laban dominate the domestic market. The company exports a significant proportion of its production to more than 15 countries in the AGCC, Africa and Indian sub-continent and the Far East. Zain brand juices are best sellers in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Qatar.
WJ Towell, Dubai
WJT- Dubai’s presence in the United Arab Emirates dates back to the early 1960’s when it dominated the regional rice market. The company distributes brand-name consumer goods - Sultan Brand - supply and distribution, adding foodstuffs, cosmetics, paper goods, hygiene and personal care items to its produce line. Today it serves a distribution network of 1500 wholesalers, retailers, catering companies, hotels and institutions throughout the UAE and other AGCC countries
Towell Mattress & Furniture Industry, UAE
This fully-owned venture was established in Sharjah in 1998 to produce and market orthopedic spring mattresses and beds, catering to the growing demand for this product in the Middle East. A state-of-art factory was opened in the year 2000 with a capacity of 120,000 orthopedic mattresses and 1,000 sofa sets per annum.
Jotun Paints, Oman and UAE
WJ Towell's relationship with Jotun, Norway began in 1974 when the groups established a joint venture paint manufacturing facility in Dubai. The success of that enterprise prompted the partners to extend their activities to Oman. In 1984, the Omani facility became the first paint factory in the Middle East to acquire ISO 9001 certification.
Premix / Readymix
Oman's dynamic construction industry is at work nationwide and demands world-class building materials. Premix and Readymix companies in which WJ Towell has a 26 percent interest, combined in 1983 as a joint venture with Redland International Ltd to form the nation’s largest ready mixed concrete producer. Redland is a subsidiary of Lafarge, France, the world’s largest building materials manufacturer.
WJ Towell began importing Unilever products in the late 1920’s, as the company’s trading business expanded so did its range of Unilever goods. In 1993 a separate company formed as a joint venture between global giant Unilever and WJ Towell. Products include Lux beauty soap, detergents, beauty products, Lipton and Brook Bond Tea, Kellogg’s cereals, etc.
