"Wadi" Trips and Camping

The winter months are an ideal time for camping either up in the mountains or along the beautiful coastline to secluded beaches, so bring any equipment that you have with you. Shade netting is always essential but easily purchased as is most camping equipment: tents, cool boxes, stoves, camp beds etc. Cotton lined lightweight sleeping bags would be useful to bring.

It must be remembered that a 4-wheel drive vehicle is a must for all these trips. A GPS receiver could be very helpful to find the tracks and the way back home. Water is the most precious commodity on a wadi trip, the adult daily requirement is 10 litres
In addition it should be noted that there are prohibitions by law against any hunting, collection of plants and animals. There is also a ban on the use of spear guns when fishing.
