Within the framework of the efforts of the Chamber to enhance the capacity of the national economy in different regions of the Sultanate and provide more convenience for traders and investors, the Chamber has opened a number of branches in the governorates and regions and made the branches to complement the work of the Chamber at its headquarters in Muscat. These centers are in the service of the private sector and take care of its interests in all parts of the Sultanate. There are branches of the Chamber each of the following locations: |

These branches are references to all works submitted for businessmen and women and traders in the regions. They serve as a link between institutions and private sector companies and various government agencies. All branches are ready to provide all the services, information and facilities for businessmen and women from within and outside the Sultanate.

Branches have experienced such an activity that clearly reflects the growing interest of the Chamber's Board regarding the need to activate the role of branches in different regions and wilayats and give them more powers and provide all that would improve their activities and functions to keep pace with local and global economic and supply the needs of the private sector regarding information, data and statistics.

|
|
The Chamber has also formed specialized committees in various economic fields including businessmen and women from the regions and wilayats. These committees discuss the issues and matters relating to the promotion of commercial activity in the wilayats and then submit the results and recommendations of the discussions to the Board of Directors to implement them and take the proper actions. Moreover, the branches of the Chamber organize seminars to raise the awareness of businesspeople regarding the different economic and labor issues. The branches host several foreign business delegations that visit the Sultanate to look for business ventures. |

Services provided by branches to the affiliates: |

The branches of the Chamber offer a range of services to public and private sectors in the regions through the membership of the Chamber at the boards and committees of senior governmental, quasi-governmental and private entities. Through this the branches deliver private sector proposals concerning economic matters to visions of the private sector are captured through seminars, meetings and conferences of specialized committees of the Chamber. |

The visions of businessmen and women in the regions are recognized through meetings organized by branch committees that are chaired by a director of the Chamber from the area and include as members a number of skillful businessmen and women from the region. The Committee shall examine and discuss the problems and obstacles faced by traders and businessmen and women and try to find appropriate solutions in coordination with the concerned parties in the government sector.

Branches play an important role in the service of the private sector through the issuance and renewal of certificates of membership, the adoption of commercial activities, issuance of certificates of origin, approval of bills, documents certification, research and economic studies, preparation and implementation of training courses, visits of trade delegations, Internet services, holding seminars and lectures, searching for investment opportunities in the regions, and provide the sector with the information it may need. This is in addition to the adoption of private sector proposals, submitting the same to the official bodies, representing the private sector and businessmen and women in the regions, and seeking conciliation in trade disputes. The branches also include commercial libraries that contain a number of publications and periodicals of interest to businessmen and women. |

Moreover, branches at the regions promote and stimulate the efforts of the private sector to invest in those areas and broaden the capital base. Branches provide many other services which include the following: |

Organization of meetings between businessmen and women in the regions to discuss the strengthening and promotion of the business. |

Provide the public and private sectors in the region with various information and data on the economy of Oman. |

Distribution of Ghorafa magazine among the affiliates of the branch. This magazine includes the activities of the Chamber and its branches in addition to seminars, conferences and economic laws and reports of interest to traders and businessmen and women. |

Defend the interests of the private sector in different regions and settle all disputes between other parties, if any. |
|
Provide various types of economic, legal, and media advice in coordination with headquarters in Muscat. |
